Overview

Eurofins Built Environment Testing is seeking a Mold Analyst in San Diego, CA. This position may require overnight travel for training. Responsibilities

Prepare and analyze aerobiological and environmental samples for fungi. Accurately enter and report analytical data using the LIMS. Perform independent data reviews for other analysts’ work. Perform analysis of reference materials, proficiency samples, and other quality control samples as needed. Maintain client service and provide technical support as needed. Perform confirmation of lab results as needed by client services personnel. Perform and complete all analytical testing and Quality Assurance related tasks as needed. Willing to cross-train into other departments as needed, including PLM Asbestos, Flame-AA Lead, Bacteria. Assist in pursuing, receiving and maintaining necessary laboratory accreditations. Coordinate and manage projects according to rush status and due times for timely delivery. Follow company policies and procedures and ensure coworkers do the same. Establish and maintain laboratory stock culture and reference samples. Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the Supervisor/Manager. Qualifications

Basic Minimum Qualifications: 1+ years of industry experience performing mold analysis (preferred). Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, geology or a closely related science. Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship. Overnight travel for training may be required. The ideal candidate would possess: 8 units of Microbiology courses preferred. General regulatory requirements. Knowledge of computers, spreadsheets, and databases. Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills. Additional Information

Compensation Range:

$22-$23 per hour depending on experience and qualifications. Position is full-time with a Tuesday - Saturday shift (Friday, 8am - 4:30pm) and overtime as needed.
