Overview
Energy and Power – Electrical Engineering Project Director; Gas Power Generation. This role leads electrical engineering design for gas power generation projects across North America and mentors staff. Responsibilities
Lead an electrical engineering team to produce deliverables for clients that include utilities, independent power producers and more. Act as the engineer in responsible charge of the electrical engineering designs for power generation plant projects. Oversee engineering design activities and production of deliverables by domestic and global staff members. Mentor and/or manage less experienced electrical engineering staff members. Work closely with clients to deliver exceptional services in the energy sector, including as an owner’s engineer to develop concept-level plans and solutions. Collaborate with construction partners to produce detailed design documents and perform construction-phase engineering services. Demonstrate a broad understanding of grid-connected gas power generation systems and assist in EPC project delivery; experience in Owner’s Engineer roles is valued. Anticipate challenges and support large teams responsible for daily project delivery; maintain highly collaborative and effective communication and problem-solving skills. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering or related engineering discipline At least 10 years of engineering design and/or consulting experience, including medium voltage power generation systems Professional Engineer licensure (any US state) Passion for mentoring and development of junior technical staff Strong communication and technical writing skills Availability to travel as required to support project needs (typically less than 50%) Other highly regarded qualifications include: Electrical engineering design for EPC delivery of simple cycle and/or combined cycle gas turbine power plants >100 MW capacity Global delivery, collaborating with design teams around the world Proposal development and project execution planning, including scope development and manhour estimates for engineering services Power system modeling experience using ETAP, SKM PowerTools or similar software Protection and Control, SCADA or power system automation Benefits

The base salary range for this position is $177,200.00 to $310,000.00.
