Electrical Superintendent, Mission Critical- Traveler (AFG) at JE Dunn Construction. This role is part of the Advanced Facilities Group (AFG), focusing on Mission Critical, Advanced Industries, and Industrial & Manufacturing projects across the country. The incumbent will work on large Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Center, and Semiconductor projects and will grow with a diverse team of professionals. This role reports to the project leadership and collaborates with field leadership, owners, design teams, and subcontractors. Key Responsibilities — Core

Lead the company’s safety culture and promote an injury-free environment; investigate safety incidents and retrain staff as needed. Provide management of subcontractors and organize overall job workflow. Manage company staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety, Quality, EEO) for small projects or portions of larger projects. Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work. Coordinate project site care, custody and control; lead daily standup and weekly trade meetings. Attend and participate in progress and OAC meetings; manage and adjust project schedule with the Project Manager. Track and monitor project budget and costs using the project management system and PM data. Communicate key project information to owners, design team, governing authorities, subcontractors, suppliers and other departments. Maintain project filing and documentation; update drawings, logs, diaries and inspection notebooks. Record unit cost information for weekly reports; complete daily and tracking reports; evaluate progress on self-perform work and adjust as needed. Manage material and equipment needs; support MOC and DLSC procurement and approval processes. Assist in selecting formwork, tools and equipment for self-perform operations; manage timecard approval for accurate hours and cost codes. Ensure quality compliance through specifications, QA/QC processes and external resources. Support project closeouts by supervising pre-punch activities and coordinating with owners, architects and authorities. Contribute to project pursuits, pre-plans, and field staffing; collaborate with project management on schedule and cost changes. Participate in negotiations with owners/architects to reach agreement on project changes; prepare for project review meetings and buy-out meetings with subcontractors and vendors. Understand and apply terms and conditions of owner and subcontractor contracts; identify and recruit top talent; promote a culture of diversity and inclusion in the organization. Key Responsibilities — Additional Core

Manage fairly complex stand-alone projects from start to finish; assume responsibility for management, scheduling, production, safety and quality on the project or portion thereof. Identify, understand and actively manage project risks; propose solutions for review and implementation by the team. Coordinate deliverables from internal resources (e.g., IPS, logistics) and participate in project pursuits. Assist in negotiations for project changes with owners and architects. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Accurate and timely work; strong verbal and written communication (intermediate). Effective presentations (intermediate); proficiency in MS Office and project management software (intermediate). Understanding of construction management methods, project processes, and relationship-building across teams. Proficiency in required JE Dunn construction technologies and scheduling software; knowledge of Lean principles (intermediate). Knowledge of trades, self-perform and labor productivity; ability to manage budgets and maximize profitability; knowledge of layout, crane flagging and rigging (intermediate). Ability to interpret document changes and their impact on project schedule; strong collaboration skills. Education

High School Diploma or GED. Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field (preferred). Experience

5+ years construction experience; 3+ years field supervision experience. Experience with Lean principles (preferred). Working Environment

Valid and unrestricted driver's license; ability to lift up to 50 pounds. May require travel and/or relocation; exposure to extreme conditions; willingness to work non-traditional hours.
