Senior Risk Management Professional , you will be joining a collaborative, interactive, and inclusive risk and insurance management team. Your role will be an integral part of a global team that delivers risk management support, project risk identification, and insurance program structure, placement, and management to Jacobs’ operations around the world. This role resides in the Legal/Risk Department and reports to the Director, Global Risk Management, Americas. The focus is on the Americas while supporting our global colleagues and functions, as needed. Responsibilities
Actively support Jacobs’ commitment to safety and our core values Review RFQ/RFPs to provide project risk identification and advice to pursuit teams Review, draft, and negotiate insurance-related provisions of complex project contracts to ensure compliance with insurance requirements as well as providing substantive advice on surety requirements, indemnifications, limitation of liability, and waivers Analyze joint venture and other teaming agreements to establish effective insurance requirements among teaming members and owner/client Participate in annual renewal and administration of Jacobs’ corporate insurance programs Work with brokers and internal clients on placement of both corporate and project-specific insurance policies Support project pursuit teams’ evaluation and use of project-specific insurance needs Monitor insurance market conditions/trends and update interested parties Seek out improvement opportunities to enhance Jacobs’ risk management program effectiveness including process improvement initiatives, technology, and automation Identify risk trends and new exposures (physical, operational, financial, and reputational) to Jacobs Conduct training tailored to the unique insurance and risk needs of the audience Assist with budget management and forecasting Perform other duties as needed Qualifications
Here’s what you’ll need Bachelor’s degree in risk/insurance, business, law, or related field Extensive experience in insurance/risk management role gained with broker, insurer, or in corporate risk management Engineering and construction industry experience Advanced understanding of complex insurance and risk management principles Exceptional knowledge of casualty and property coverage lines and policy mechanics Deep understanding of project delivery methods such as DBB, DB, PDB, DDB, and CMAR Strong knowledge of Surety, CIPs, SDI, and Builders Risk insurance Strong understanding of contractual risk transfer, indemnity provisions, and general principles of tort and damages Familiarity with global insurance program structures Ability to define, analyze, and effectively solve problems, seeking guidance as necessary Motivated and contributing team member, but also able to work independently Clear ability to take initiative to define, analyze and effectively solve problems, seeking guidance as necessary Ability to simultaneously manage multiple projects and tasks from a wide range of internal customers Strong desire to seek out learning opportunities for professional growth Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Ideally, you’ll have Industry certification (e.g., AFSB, ARM, CPCU, CRIS) or other evidence of continuing professional education Knowledge of governmental entities operations and procurement processes Compensation and benefits
The base salary range for this position is $117,200.00 to $183,200.00. The posted salary range minimum is $117,200.00 and maximum is $183,200.00. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more. Health and welfare benefits include medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, a 401(k) plan, and the ability to purchase company stock at a discount. Eligible employees may also enroll in a deferred compensation plan or the Executive Deferral Plan. Jacobs offers an unlimited U.S. Personalized Paid Time Off (PPTO) policy for full-time salaried/exempt employees, seven paid holidays, one floating holiday, and caregiver leave.
