Transaction Advisory Senior Manager - Healthcare Financial Due Diligence

Job overview: The Transaction Advisory Services Senior Manager is responsible for managing financial, accounting and operational due diligence engagements. Responsibilities

Plans and oversees the due diligence process, applying knowledge and BDO standards to ensure effective and efficient delivery of quality services and products. Acts as primary contact for C-level personnel for the duration of the due diligence process. Analyzes quality of earnings, working capital, financial forecasts, historical earnings, and the quality of assets and liabilities of the target client. Performs industry and company research, and collects information related to the target client’s business. Leads on-site and/or phone interviews with C-level personnel at the target client to gather information in support of the financial analysis. Leads the team in identifying risks and issues related to the transaction for incorporation into purchase agreements. Identifies and proposes appropriate resolutions on a timely basis for critical issues related to the M&A process. Leads the narrative planning session prior to writing the financial due diligence report, and oversees the composition of the report, highlighting key deal-related issues impacting the proposed transaction. Manages the relationship and information flow between BDO, the client, and the target company. Identifies and pursues business development opportunities through industry and networking relationships. Manages the development of proposal documents and conducts presentations in pursuit of acquiring new clients. Partners with management members of BDO offices to identify and promote TAS services to existing and prospective clients, and identifies cross-selling opportunities to other BDO business lines. Supervisory Responsibilities

Schedules and supervises the tasks and project assignments of TAS Senior Associates and Managers. Reviews work product prepared by TAS Senior Associates and Managers, and provides review comments and edits as necessary. Partners with Directors within the TAS practice to provide performance feedback to TAS Senior Associates and Managers throughout the fiscal year and during the annual performance review process. Develops TAS Senior Associates and Managers by providing real-time on-the-job insight and training. Supports a collaborative and team-oriented environment while encouraging strong results and quality work. Education and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or Finance, required. Experience

Six (6) or more years of public accounting experience, required. Three (3) or more years of TAS experience, preferred. Experience interacting and working directly with C-level personnel, preferred. Certifications

CPA or CA, preferred. Software

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint, required. Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Strong verbal and written communication skills, specifically business writing. Ability to interact with and adapt communication style to successfully convey messaging and objectives to all levels of management. Exhibits executive presence, intellectual curiosity and analytical thinking. Capable of initiating and maintaining solid relationships with all levels of client personnel, as well as utilizing network and industry relationships to identify business development opportunities. Capable of working in a demanding, deadline-driven environment independently and within a team, while effectively managing unexpected issues and questions in a professional manner. Ability to analyze large volumes of data to identify potential issues and propose appropriate resolutions to deal structures. Maintains the highly confidential nature of information. Excellent project management skills with attention to detail. Strong knowledge of technical accounting areas such as US GAAP. Ability to travel as needed. Salary ranges: National $135,000 - $210,000; Maryland $135,000 - $210,000; NYC/Long Island/Westchester $135,000 - $210,000. About Us
