Fractional Senior Accountants
at Third Road Management work with multiple clients on a routine basis and are responsible for all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general ledger management. They build strong relationships with the client and existing accounting team and adapt easily to a variety of industries. About Third Road Management

Supporting clients in their daily transactional and technical accounting needs. Accounts Receivable: applying payments, recording and collecting receivables, ensuring billings are collected in a timely manner according to terms and contracts. Perform and/or review all accounts payable functions, including reviewing invoices, ensuring vendor agreements compliance, obtaining invoice approvals from appropriate operational managers, and ensuring correct coding of invoices. Perform and/or review bank, loan, credit card, and other general ledger account reconciliations as requested or needed. Assist client accounting team in balancing the General Ledger by preparing a trial balance and reconciling entries. Support client accounting team by helping prepare routine monthly financial reports, annual entity and tax filings; coordinate with auditors to provide documentation as requested. Complete payroll processing on a timely basis as determined by the client. Assist clients and staff in all areas of sales tax compliance; prepare and review various multi-state sales tax filings. Perform and/or review filing or other duties as requested by client. Facilitate cash management as needed. Build strong relationships with the client and existing team. Provide mentorship and oversight for staff accountants. Qualifications
8+ years of experience working with small to mid-size businesses in bookkeeping or monthly close accounting. Excellent organizational skills, ability to manage projects, and juggle multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines. Strong interpersonal skills to maintain positive relationships with clients and team members. Ability to work with diverse personalities; tactful, mature, and flexible. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Adaptable to numerous industries. Proficient in many systems, preferably QuickBooks Online, Desktop, or Enterprise; generally adaptable to clients’ systems. Bachelor’s degree required; CPA (active or inactive) a plus. PC/Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook). Willingness to travel throughout the greater Chicago metropolitan area to client sites. This is a full-time role.
