Our client, a leading mechanical contractor, is seeking an experienced

Mechanical Construction Project Manager

to join their team in

San Diego, CA . With nearly a century of proven customer commitment and ownership, they operate with high safety standards for employees and clients alike. Their services include Building Information Modeling (BIM), design/build solutions, sustainable practices, commercial HVAC services, and complex mechanical and industrial system installations. This role will oversee mechanical construction projects—ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget—across markets including Healthcare, Life Sciences, Commercial, Industrial, and more.

Responsibilities

Ensuring the safety of field personnel assigned to projects

Overseeing field labor productivity, quality control, and project coordination

Managing project financial performance, forecasts, and reporting

Procuring materials and equipment

Administering change orders and maintaining strong client relationships

Managing project cash flow and personnel

Complying with all company operating policies, procedures, and plans

Overseeing and directing teams and being available during the working hours of direct reports

Additional duties may be assigned.

Computer Skills

Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, Project, Access, PowerPoint)

Vista-Viewpoint (Project Management & Accounting Software)

Required Attributes

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment

Proficiency in basic business mathematical functions

Ability to work with minimal supervision

Strong time management and attention to detail

Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

Organizational skills for handling and archiving technical documentation

Adherence to all operating policies, procedures, plans, and programs

Education & Experience

3–7 years of construction-related experience

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
