Litigation Paralegal role at Benesch Law in San Francisco. This position is hybrid with work-from-home flexibility. Position Summary
Are you a seasoned litigation paralegal looking for a fast-paced, challenging position? Do you thrive on working on trials and complex litigation matters and want to be an integral part of a litigation team, working hand-in-hand with trial attorneys at all levels? This role is for an experienced litigation paralegal who can manage large-scale litigation matters from start to finish and is heavily involved in trials. The Litigation Paralegal provides support to attorneys in coordinating, managing, and supervising all aspects of litigation, including handling large caseloads, drafting legal documents for attorney review, analyzing information, and coordinating with attorneys, clients, external counsel, other parties, and vendors. Responsibilities
Draft, review, and analyze routine legal documents as requested by attorneys. Manage large-scale discovery and e-discovery matters, including document preservation, collection, and production. Provide hands-on operational litigation technology support, including database creation/maintenance, data import/export, data searches, reformatting, report design, e-discovery processes, scanning, OCR, and coding. Organize and maintain case files using automated procedures. Assist with preparing attorneys and witnesses for depositions and court appearances, including assembling case files and evidence. Prepare for trials in state and federal court, including trial support, exhibit creation, war room setup, attending trials, and travel as needed. Review and summarize depositions. Manage and finalize witness affidavits. Review documents for privilege and draft privilege logs for attorney review. Perform legal and factual research. Interact with courts, government agencies, experts, vendors, and other law firms to coordinate activities in support of trials/arbitrations. Act as liaison between case team attorneys and support staff to ensure timely, relevant paralegal services. Meet billable goals as established by practice management. Qualifications
Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved program is preferred, with 7 to 10 years of litigation experience in an AmLaw 150 firm or specialist practice area. Experience with all stages of litigation, including intake, discovery, and trial; experience preparing for and attending trials/arbitration hearings is required. Strong working knowledge of federal court procedures and electronic filing systems (CM/ECF, PACER). Ability to research and comply with filing rules in multiple jurisdictions; experience with e-filing portals such as One Legal, File & ServeXpress, Odyssey, etc. Experience with Opus 2, TextMap, CaseMap, iManage (or comparable DMS), Everlaw, Relativity, Trial Director; proficiency with MS Office Suite. Strong time management, organization, accuracy, attention to detail, and a customer-service mindset. Availability for overtime and travel as needed. Salary and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $104,000 to $177,000 per year. Base pay is based on market location and may vary with knowledge, skills, and experience. Full-time positions are eligible for a discretionary bonus and a comprehensive benefits package. Equal Opportunity
