Manufacturing Engineering Manager – Medical Devices | Virginia | Onsite (Relocation Provided) - $175,000+ We’re partnering with a respected medical device contract manufacturer in Virginia to find an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead a high-impact team focused on process development, compliance, and production excellence. This is a hands-on leadership role overseeing both the manufacturing engineering and facilities functions. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative, and highly regulated—ideal for someone who thrives on driving innovation while ensuring strict adherence to FDA, ISO 13485, and GMP standards. What You'll Be Doing

Leading & Developing Talent : Manage a team of engineers and technicians, setting clear goals, mentoring staff, and building a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Driving Process Optimization : Develop and refine manufacturing processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and other best practices to enhance efficiency, yield, and scalability. Ensuring Compliance : Oversee process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) and maintain documentation to meet all FDA and ISO 13485 requirements. Actively support internal and external audits. Supporting Production : Provide real-time technical support on the floor, troubleshoot issues, and reduce downtime using structured problem-solving tools like 5-Whys and Fishbone diagrams. Technology & Equipment : Lead the selection, implementation, and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment, with a focus on automation, robotics, and Industry 4.0 solutions. Strategic & Budget Oversight : Manage departmental budgets, evaluate production costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and compliance. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Work closely with Quality, R&D, Regulatory, Operations, and suppliers to support new product introduction (NPI), continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction. Qualifications

Proven leadership experience in

medical device manufacturing

or other highly regulated industries. Strong understanding of

process validation ,

QMS , and manufacturing best practices. Proficiency in

CAD , ERP systems, and data analysis tools. Experience managing budgets, capital equipment, and cross-functional teams. PMP certification or formal project management training is a plus.
