Overview
Paraprofessional, Instructional - K-5th Grade - Bilingual Preferred. Instructional Paraprofessionals provide staff support in an educational or childcare environment, working with children individually or in small groups by providing basic instruction on reading, writing, math, and other education-related activities as assigned by teachers. What You'll Do
May provide instructional support to teachers in designated curricula (e.g., reading, writing, science, social studies, mathematics, library media) and may support teachers in the instruction and teaching of personal computer hardware and software skills or, as designated, oversee the general function, operation and maintenance of a computer laboratory. Assist individuals and small student groups and reinforce learning concepts presented by teachers; discuss and coordinate instructional efforts with teachers and educational staff. Assist in conducting testing and assessment, multimedia activities, recordkeeping, computer operation, discipline, and other activities as directed. Presents subject matter to students under the direction and guidance of teachers, using lectures, computer-based instruction, discussions, or supervised role-playing methods.
