Senior Consultant, Government Contracting Advisory Services
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Government Contracting Advisory Services team. You will work with government contractors to interpret regulations, assess compliance, and help clients manage government contracting life cycles. This role offers exposure to a diverse set of clients across multiple industries and opportunities to collaborate with business leaders to deliver meaningful results.
Your Impact
Provide advisory support to government contractors in the areas of FAR, DFARS, and CAS regulatory interpretation.
Develop and enhance compliance-based business systems, including updating policies and procedures documentation and evaluating business processes for improvement opportunities.
Assist in analyses of government allegations of noncompliance and in the preparation of audit finding responses and cost data analysis.
Calculate and/or review indirect rates; prepare and review incurred cost submissions.
Perform budget and cashflow analysis and EAC preparation/analysis.
Support contract/project setup and closeout procedures and identify potential issues.
Establish credibility as a trusted advisor to clients.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2+ years of relevant government contracting experience
Working knowledge of FAR, DFARS, and CAS
Experience supporting risk assessments and conducting compliance reviews (including unallowable costs reviews, cost proposal reviews, and audit finding responses)
Knowledge of indirect rates and cost estimates
Experience supporting design, maintenance, and/or testing of controls related to DFARS business systems
Knowledge of forecast and budget modeling (balance sheet, income statement, and headcount)
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting/audit practices, procedures, and reporting standards
Flexible to travel up to 25% or more
US Citizenship is required due to client security requirements
Preferred Qualifications
Masters in Accounting, MBA, CPA, CIA
Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint, COGNOS, IBM TM1, Hyperion Smartview/ESS, PeopleSoft, JAMIS, Unanet
