Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer

This role focuses on creating cutting edge DSP solutions for national security and defense signal processing, geolocation, and communication problems. You will work in a multidisciplinary R&D environment with electrical engineers, mathematicians, and computer scientists/engineers. Primary responsibilities
Research, design, and development of digital signal processing and satellite communications systems deployed on CPU, GPU, and FPGA platforms. Participate in all phases of the product development life cycle: requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and test. Apply engineering, software, and mathematical analysis concepts to develop system solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and evaluate interfaces between hardware and software, and performance requirements and overall system design. Develop test procedures and related documentation. Communicate within and outside the organization to influence changes in practices, processes, and approaches. Participate in process, system, or product improvements and provide input into new products/processes with measurable impact. What you will do beyond core responsibilities
A key responsibility is staying up-to-date with signal processing technologies, tools, and methodologies and experimenting with new technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into RRC projects. You may work across systems engineering, development, integration and test, deployment and O&M, and benefit from direct mission feedback from the customer. Required background
Ability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI security clearance and polygraph US Citizenship required Bachelor's/Master's/PhD in Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or related field At least 8 years of experience in a signal processing engineering-related discipline Strong DSP background with theory and practical system development experience Ability to communicate software and algorithm design, complexity analysis, and performance metrics in written and oral form Ability to quickly grasp and work with large software code bases Preferred skills
Current and active Top-Secret clearance with a polygraph Experience in cellular and satellite communications, modern modulation schemes, cyclostationary techniques Geolocation, radar signal processing, RF propagation and link budgets, RF system design DevOps and Cloud computing experience (Gitlab, CI/CD, CVE mitigations, Docker, Kubernetes, Python) Location
This position is located at our Tucson, Arizona offices. Compensation
Base pay range: $126,000.00/yr – $177,000.00/yr Benefits and culture
