Head of Production - Haynesville at bp. Lead field and office staff across Texas and Louisiana, overseeing >500 wells and producing greater than one billion standard cubic feet per day from best-in-basin high pressure and high temperature wells. Role involves proactively collaborating with other disciplines, teams, subfunctions and contractors to resolve problems and apply sound engineering judgment to drive integrated, pragmatic solutions focused on risk management, operating efficiency, defect elimination and standardization through technology implementation. This position represents a unique opportunity to manage a top-tier natural gas asset with a significant resource base to create meaningful cash flow. Responsibilities

Lead safety culture: provide visible safety leadership for all employees and contractors, champion best practices, and ensure compliance with process and personal safety standards and environmental regulations. Deliver production plan and guide interventions and surface modifications to increase production or reduce cost. Enforce cost discipline: drive initiatives to improve cash cost per boe, optimize spending, and support strong financial outcomes. Maintain operational integrity: ensure activities operate within safety design limits, monitor KPIs, and proactively mitigate risks. Embed RCFA and learning: foster Root Cause Failure Analysis, oversee incident investigations, and share lessons learned across the organization. Collaborate cross-functionally: work with Development, Completions, Interventions, and Finance to align priorities and drive innovation. Focus on asset integrity: sustain long-term value creation, reliability, and sustainability. Support teamwork across field-based and office-based personnel. Drive technology improvement and adoption in work management, production analysis, and cost performance. Coordinate with bp and third-party midstream organizations for flow assurance in-year and future delivery. Travel to field locations across the Haynesville area (Longview, Lufkin and Shreveport) as required. Adhere to BP Engineering Principles, Code of Conduct, and Safety Leadership Principles. Prepare monthly and quarterly internal and executive business performance presentations. Build and update production and cash forecasts for 12-month, 2-year, and 5-year horizons. Identify and implement opportunities to improve safety and business performance. Oversee emissions reporting and permitting activities and approve cash and decommissioning costs for annual reporting. Essential Experience And Education

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Chemical, or related discipline); advanced degree preferred. Minimum 15 years in upstream oil and gas operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing large-scale production assets. Proven track record of delivering production targets and optimizing performance in HPHT environments. Deep understanding of well operations, artificial lift systems, surface facilities, and downhole interventions. Experience in cost management, including LOE reduction, budgeting, and forecasting. Experience leading cross-functional teams (field operations, engineering, finance, and third-party contractors). Strong background in RCFA, incident investigation, and continuous improvement. Familiarity with regulatory compliance, emissions reporting, and environmental permitting in Texas and Louisiana. Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Spotfire, Power BI, SQL) and production surveillance platforms. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience delivering updates to executive leadership. Willingness and ability to travel regularly to field locations in the Haynesville area. Compensation and Benefits
