We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Generalist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a versatile professional with a strong understanding of human resources functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR policies and procedures. HR Policies and Compliance: Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures. Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks. Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits related questions. HR Data Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in HR systems. Generate reports and analyze HR data to support decision-making. Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, annual reviews, etc. Create onboarding plans and educate newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations. Employee Engagement: Contribute to the development and implementation of employee engagement initiatives. Organize and coordinate employee events and activities. Employee Reviews: Evaluate employee performance, evaluate pay scale, assist with annual reviews, and coordinate disciplinary actions, including terminations if necessary. Performance Management: Support the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and feedback sessions. Collaborate with managers to identify training and development needs for employees. Onboarding: Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization through orientation, training, and providing necessary resources. Exit Interviews: Conduct exit interviews with departing employees to gather feedback, identify trends, and address any concerns or issues related to their departure. Separation Process: Coordinate the termination process, including notifying relevant stakeholders, collecting company property, deactivating access, and processing final payments. Documentation includes termination letters, separation agreements, and related paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Legal Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations throughout the termination process, including adherence to notice periods, severance requirements, state leave laws and final paycheck deadlines. Offboarding: Assist with offboarding activities, such as updating employee records, removing access to company systems, and communicating departure details to relevant departments. Provide information and assistance to departing employees regarding benefits continuation, COBRA, and other post-employment benefits options. Employee Relations: Handle termination-related inquiries and issues/compliants from employees, managers, and other stakeholders, providing guidance and support as needed to maintain positive employee relations. Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in human resources roles, with a focus on generalist responsibilities such as benefits, leave administration, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration. Previous experience in a similar industry. Knowledge: In-depth understanding of human resources principles, practices, and regulations, including employment laws, compliance requirements, and best practices. Familiarity with HRIS systems, recruitment tools, and performance evaluation methods is also desirable. Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively interacting with employees, managers, and external stakeholders. The ability to convey information clearly, professionally, and with empathy is crucial for success in HR roles. Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills are necessary for building positive relationships with employees and fostering a collaborative work environment. The HR Generalist should be approachable, empathetic, and able to handle sensitive situations with tact and diplomacy. Problem-Solving Abilities: The ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and develop practical solutions is essential for addressing employee relations issues, managing conflicts, and resolving HR-related challenges effectively.
