Director of Sales and Marketing
for Fairmont Orchid (on-property based) will oversee Sales, Marketing and Events, including Budget/P&L, forecasting, advertising, business planning, talent development and stakeholder relations. You will play a strategic role in maximizing asset value with an integrated commercial approach and long-term positioning. What you will be doing: Oversee integrated commercial strategies for the hotel and connect strategy to business processes. Lead development and implementation of short-term and long-term strategies in sales, events and marketing to achieve revenue goals and market share. Produce the Annual Multi-Year Commercial Strategy Plan with on-property leaders and regional support. Align hotel performance needs with brand enterprise solutions across key segments served by the hotel. Maximize net revenue through understanding market segments, booking channels and demand drivers for rooms, F&B and related departments. Collaborate with Brand e-Commerce and on-property Commercial Leadership to build B2B marketing, digital marketing, social media, PR and communications channels. Track and analyze marketing campaign performance and adjust strategies/budgets based on metrics. Measure ROI of email and social media marketing initiatives and evaluate partnerships. Work with Commercial Leaders to optimize business mix, review revenue forecasts and approve pricing strategies. Develop and manage departmental expense budgets and forecasts. Maintain knowledge of competitor activity and market trends to identify revenue opportunities. Execute the Fairmont Sales Incentive Program. Recruit, mentor and retain sales and marketing staff; lead and develop team members and career development plans. Build strong relationships with key stakeholders including hotel ownership and asset management; coordinate with Hotel, Region and Global Sales for training and synergies. Qualifications
Your experience and skills include: Minimum qualifications: Minimum of five (5) years in Hotel Sales, Catering or Marketing. Management experience as a Director. Leadership experience in a full-service hotel (4 stars or higher). Ability to travel on short notice and adapt to schedule changes. Professional presentations and strong written/oral communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to perform critical analysis. Additional coursework in business administration, marketing and communications. Experience with business strategy, planning and development. Experience in large matrix organizations. Knowledge of Opera Sales & Catering Software or comparable products. Salary and Employment Details
