KPMG US . KPMG is seeking a Senior Associate in the State and Local Tax (SALT) practice to join a national multi-disciplinary state income tax consulting team. The role involves helping clients with complex state tax issues, organizational structure optimization, identifying refund opportunities, developing and delivering technology solutions, and general consulting matters. You will work to build and manage client relationships and contribute to a collaborative, high-energy team environment. Responsibilities
Work as part of a national multi-disciplinary state income tax consulting team on complex state tax issues, including organizational structure optimization, identifying refund opportunities, developing and delivering technology solutions, and general consulting matters Assist multinational companies with state tax return review engagements focused on identifying and securing state income tax refunds Research and draft technical memoranda or slide decks on income, franchise, sales and use tax, and other state and local tax topics Build and manage client relationships and supervise, mentor, and develop associates Qualifications
Minimum two years of recent experience performing tax research, reviewing state income tax returns, and providing technical advice on multi-state income tax issues Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university; CPA, EA or JD/LLM preferred Ability to develop business and foster internal and client relationships Excellent writing, compliance, communication, management and tax research skills Ability and desire to perform in a high-energy team environment Salary and Benefits
