Senior Electrical Engineer

This position supports clients in Hawai’i, Guam, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, and other Pacific Island locations. You will deliver electrical projects under local government and U.S. Federal Sector contracts, with experience in power transmission and distribution, solar PV, battery storage, telecommunications, water/wastewater, and buildings/facilities. Responsibilities
Knowledge Management System: Help others get the most out of knowledge management systems by offering support and advice. Process Design Engineering: Contribute to the analysis of information and the specification of methods and processes to design and continuously improve manufacturing or materials processes and process systems to deliver the end product within specified cost and quality parameters. Engineering Standards Specification: Support the drafting of engineering standards and specifications and evaluate their effectiveness under guidance from senior colleagues. Engineering Inspections: Conduct inspections to evaluate the quality of engineering works and integrity of installations, and recommend remedial works to ensure conformance. Product and Solution Development: Develop products and engineering activities; analyze customer needs and define and deliver products using established systems. Project Management: Work within an established project management plan to achieve goals. Personal Capability Building: Develop capabilities through assessment, training, coaching, and maintaining relevant accreditation; stay informed on technology, regulations, and industry best practices. Contract Management: Coordinate subcontractors and suppliers and act as primary contact within a contract management plan. Engineering Solutions Design: Contribute to the design of engineering solutions and supervise feasibility testing to support development and validation. Client & Customer Management (External): Help senior colleagues manage client and customer relationships using relevant sales or client systems. Education
Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree from an ABET-accredited school in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Experience
Minimum of 10 years of professional consulting engineering experience with exposure to defense, water/wastewater, waterfront, architectural, industrial, or related projects. Registered Professional Engineer in Hawaii or ability to obtain Hawaii electrical license within 6 months. Other state registrations (e.g., California, Hawai‘i, CNMI) will be considered. Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) Certificate desired but not required.
