GEICO is building an AI-powered marketing automation platform for internal use to transform how we engage with customers. This platform will enable marketing teams with smarter, personalized, and data-driven customer journeys across multiple channels. As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will contribute to the architecture, design, and development of this platform, integrating advanced AI and machine learning techniques into marketing processes. Position Description
We are developing a cutting-edge, AI-powered marketing automation platform exclusively for internal use, aimed at transforming how we engage with our customers. This platform will empower our marketing teams with smarter, more personalized, and efficient tools, allowing them to create seamless, data-driven customer journeys across multiple channels. As a Senior Staff Engineer, you will play a critical role in the architecture, design, and development of this platform, bringing advanced AI and machine learning techniques into the heart of our marketing processes. Our Senior Staff Engineer is a key member of the engineering staff working on Web solutions ensuring that we provide friction-less experience to our customers and maintain the highest standards of protection and availability. Our team thrives and succeeds in delivering high quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. The ideal candidate has broad and deep technical knowledge, typically ranging from front-end UIs through back-end systems and all points in between, and a proven background in JavaScript, ReactJS, Java, Microservices, Containers (Kubernetes), and design, implementing, and maintaining front-end UIs. Responsibilities Scope, design, and build scalable, resilient distributed systems Build product definition and leverage your technical skills to drive towards the right solution Engage in cross-functional collaboration throughout the entire software lifecycle Lead design sessions and code reviews with peers to elevate the quality of engineering across the organization Define, create, and support reusable application components/patterns from a business and technology perspective Utilize programming languages like JavaScript, TypeScript, Java, C#, Python, and Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, and a variety of Azure tools and services across the software development life cycle to perform advanced-level Java application design under minimal direction Utilize developer tooling across the software development life cycle to perform advanced-level Mobile/Web/UI design, implementation, and maintenance activities under minimal direction Mentor other engineers Share best practices and improve processes within and across teams
Qualifications
Experience with design, development, and deployment of machine learning solutions integrated into software systems Experience building MarTech applications, including implementation solution design Fluency with Java, Python, React, Redux, JavaScript/TypeScript, CSS, JSON, RESTful Web Services, Node.js, Cassandra and Event Driven Architectures Strong Cloud platform knowledge (AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.) Familiar with project management and work item tools (Azure DevOps, JIRA) Ability to design, perform experiments, and influence engineering direction and product roadmap Experience partnering with engineering teams and transferring research to production Experience with continuous delivery and infrastructure as code Knowledge of CS data structures and algorithms Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to excel in a fast-paced environment Fluency in modern languages such as Java and Python with object-oriented design Experience with microservices architecture and extensible REST APIs Experience with AI/ML and data-driven integration with backend systems Experience designing architecture, patterns, reliability, and scaling of systems DevOps awareness, Cloud Architecture, and Azure DevOps practices Experience with application monitoring tools and performance assessments Understanding of security protocols and products (Active Directory, Windows authentication, SAML, OAuth)

Annual Salary
$105,000.00 - $260,000.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Multiple factors are taken into consideration to arrive at the final hourly rate/annual salary offered, including scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, work location, and market considerations.
