We are looking for a highly collaborative and forward-thinking Azure Architect to design and guide the implementation of scalable, secure, cost effective, and resilient Azure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent developer experience in a complex environment. In this role, you will collaborate with our DevSecOps team, various development teams as well as non-technical groups around the organization on Azure needs, as well as our existing Azure Architect and engineering team. Base pay
$124,000.00/yr - $162,000.00/yr Pay location details
The Target Pay Range for this position in Loveland, CO is $124,000 to $154,000 annually. The Target Pay Range for this position in NYC is $149,000 to $187,000 annually. The Target Pay Range for this position in Fountain Valley, CA is $130,000 to $162,000 annually. Key Responsibilities
Design and implement Azure-based solutions that meet security, scalability, and performance requirements. Work closely with DevSecOps to embed security and compliance controls into cloud infrastructure from the ground up. Partner with development teams to support cloud-native application design and deployment using Azure services with a long-term focus on cloud provider agnostic tools such as Kubernetes. Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate functional requirements into technical solutions. Drive the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC), automation, documentation, and monitoring practices. Guide architectural decisions across projects and ensure adherence to best practices and enterprise standards. Participate in cloud governance and cost optimization efforts. Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, and technical deep dives. Qualifications & Experience
5+ years of experience in cloud architecture, with 3+ years focused on Microsoft Azure. Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or a related field. Master preferred. Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert preferred. Strong background working with cross-functional teams, especially DevSecOps, security and software engineering. Experience working in veterinary or human healthcare is a plus. Hands-on experience with key Azure services including Key Vault, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Services, App Config, function apps, and logic apps. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (e.g., Terraform, ARM templates, Bicep) and other similar methodologies for managing infrastructure and platform. Solid understanding of cloud security principles, identity management, and compliance frameworks and especially unique security considerations in the cloud. Proven ability to align cloud architecture with business goals and stakeholder needs. Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills. Experience with Agile methodologies and modern DevSecOps and platform engineering practices. Knowledge of containerization and microservices architecture. Familiarity with business analysis or product management concepts is a plus. Physical Demands

The employee will primarily work in a typical office environment including use of cubicles, computers and overhead lighting. Temperature extremes will be minimal to nonexistent. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The employee will be required to use a computer, spreadsheets, database management, email, and the Internet.
