As a leader within the Analytics team, the Director, Analytics will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the team, focusing on business intelligence and data-driven solutions that enhance marketing performance and understanding of consumer and healthcare professional (HCP) insights. This position offers an opportunity to help build and guide a team, contributing to the development of future brand strategies. The Director will apply extensive experience in health and wellness data analysis and strategic consulting as the analytic lead. The role requires sourcing and using multiple data sources to represent the business impact of media/marketing campaigns and translating insights into actionable recommendations to optimize media investment for clients. This role reports to the Vice President, Analytics and involves shaping and building a high-performing analytics team within the pharmaceutical and healthcare space. Responsibilities
Client Leadership & Business Development: Create professional relationships with internal and client team members; ensure quality in communications and deliverables for the entire team. Collaborate with internal and external partners to create measurement plans/proposals that satisfy client goals; define program success and address challenges/opportunities with clear goals. Oversee business rules and engagement parameters; participate withFinance and Operations in scoping and vendor/data requests. Manage internal data sources and third-party data streams for the custom measurement platform; track progress against timelines and delivery dates. Synthesize data into insights about program success in transforming target audiences (HCPs, patients/prospects or both); identify optimization opportunities and provide strategic recommendations for client presentations and reports. Act as a strategic consultant using insights to drive client decisions; pursue opportunities to expand presence through consultative selling; participate in new business opportunities as they arise. Understand client needs and internal operations to achieve success for the client and team; provide strategic review ensuring high-quality deliverables. Collaborate across the organization to drive positive change, assess competitive offerings, and move projects forward with teams. Independently provide points of view for clients or internal teams; source or research information to inform decision-making within business rules. Lead a team, teach processes, and provide a growth path for direct reports; manage your team’s workload for success. People & Team Development
Manage and mentor Analytics Associate Directors, Managers, and Senior Analysts, focusing on large data analysis, measurement, and data visualization capabilities. Prepare the team for eventual direct reports and support growth aligned with new brand initiatives and internal shifts. Participate in talent recruitment and retention, with emphasis on upskilling in HCP experience and pharma knowledge. Foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration, emphasizing capability-building and teaching. Practice Development
Enhance formal frameworks and methods to address client strategies, especially in integrating physician-level data and healthcare insights. Collaborate with business intelligence, media, content, engineering, and planning to develop and refine capabilities. Lead capability-building efforts, sharing expertise in large datasets, measurement techniques, and technical skills like Python, SQL, and Excel. Drive forward-thinking analytics to guide operational transformation; lead prioritization and allocation of resources across projects, especially those involving healthcare and pharmaceutical data. Qualifications
8 to 10 years in data/analytics consulting or quantitative marketing/analysis with healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences experience. 5-6 years of client-facing/consulting experience in healthcare or pharma, plus 2-4 years of management experience. Strong experience with pharmaceutical clients, especially HCP and physician-level data (e.g., NPI data). Literate in business intelligence software such as Datorama, Tableau, Power BI, Adobe, Google tools, etc. Proven ability to lead and grow analytics teams, develop strategic client solutions, and influence senior decision-makers. Degree or equivalent experience in marketing, statistics, mathematics, or economics; MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Additional Information
