CGS is seeking a Cloud and Storage Engineer to develop and implement full-scale Storage Area Network (SAN) architecture for a large EMC-based SAN infrastructure in support of a large federal agency. The ideal candidate will excel in a fast-paced environment and produce standards and implementation processes for storage configuration, optimization, replication, and storage security. $100,949.33/yr - $137,002.66/yr Employment Type: Full-Time, Experienced Responsibilities

Develops and implements full-scale Storage Area Network (SAN) architecture for a large EMC-based SAN infrastructure in a multi-enterprise, complex, geographically dispersed solution; ranging from single servers to multi-tier, multi-platform solutions connected through fiber channel to multiple EMC Storage Arrays with petabytes of storage capacity Consider SAN aspects including performance, capacity, replication, disaster recovery, backup disk storage, and backup & recovery Define and set a strategic direction for the SAN and backup environment Design and implement customer storage requirements into an enterprise solution to be developed, installed, configured, and deployed Provide overall storage and backup capacity planning, and utilization reporting Produce standards and implementation processes for storage configuration, optimization, replication, virtualization, storage security, and disaster recovery Troubleshoot complex SAN infrastructure issues and collaborate with customers to resolve issues Review, plan, and participate in maintenance and/or projects on the storage infrastructure Develop technical documentation, tiered storage and storage-as-a-service roadmaps, presentations, and cost models Manage, maintain, and develop the SAN infrastructure as part of a team to ensure 24/7/365 uptime Architect and maintain private cloud environments; experience with Gov Cloud (AWS, Azure, etc.) and hybrid cloud architectures desired Perform security-related tasks including documentation, vulnerability review, assessment support, patch management, and auditing as required Qualifications

Bachelor’s in computer science, business, or other relevant discipline Eight (8) years of relevant work experience may be substituted for degree requirement Significant, direct experience with Dell EMC products such as OneFS, MDS SAN switches, storage arrays (Unity, Isilon, VNS, and Data Domain), and RecoverPoint Our Commitment
