Corporate Compliance Officer Position Summary: A leading global medical technology company is seeking a
Director or Senior Director, Compliance (US)
to act as a compliance business partner for two major U.S. business units: Prevention & Recovery (P&R) and Reconstruction. These divisions focus on
DMEPOS products
(e.g., braces and bone growth stimulators) and
orthopedic implants . The position will work closely with leadership teams on new product offerings, innovative business models, mergers and acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives—ensuring all go-to-market activities are compliant with applicable U.S. healthcare laws, regulations, and requirements. The role also includes oversight of the U.S. Corporate Compliance and Ethics Program, with a particular focus on
Revenue Cycle Management (RCM) compliance . The ideal candidate is an experienced compliance leader who can strategically and creatively address compliance challenges, partner effectively across R&D, marketing, sales, and operations, and influence senior stakeholders in sensitive situations. Key Responsibilities
Act as the Compliance business partner for the P&R and Reconstruction business units, and the RCM team. Collaborate with the Health Care Provider (HCP) Center of Excellence on policy and training for HCP interactions. Provide compliance expertise and counsel for day-to-day RCM operations. Monitor enforcement trends, emerging regulations, and industry standards; update policies and procedures as needed. Conduct periodic risk assessments and contribute to the compliance strategic plan. Identify compliance vulnerabilities, develop mitigation strategies, and oversee implementation. Partner with business teams to evaluate and structure new product offerings and business models in compliance with applicable laws. Lead compliance due diligence and integration for mergers and acquisitions. Manage complex/high-risk compliance matters independently. Prepare reports for executive and board-level compliance committees. Develop and deliver compliance training programs. Lead audits in high-risk areas and oversee corrective actions. Conduct and document investigations into compliance violations, including hotline reports. Serve as U.S. Privacy Officer and oversee HIPAA compliance. Manage a team of direct and/or dotted-line reports. Qualifications
Director:
8–12 years;
Senior Director:
10–15 years in healthcare compliance, preferably with a medical device manufacturer and/or DMEPOS supplier. Strong knowledge of U.S. healthcare laws and regulations (e.g., Anti-Kickback, Stark Law, HIPAA, fraud and abuse laws). Ability to interpret complex regulations and design compliant business solutions. Experience balancing business priorities with compliance requirements in a fast-paced, multinational environment. Preferred
Juris Doctor strongly preferred. DMEPOS and RCM/billing experience, including Medicare reimbursement and supplier standards. Privacy Officer experience in a HIPAA-covered entity. State licensure and Medicare enrollment/accreditation experience. Project management and data analytics skills. 5+ years of management experience. Travel:
Up to 25%, typically 2–5 days per trip with overnight stays. Note:
