General Manager 5
for the
United States Marine Corps- West
in
Twentynine Palms, CA . The installation is located in the Mojave desert, 60 miles northeast of Palm Springs.
The United States Marine Corps has high quality level food service expectations, and this account will require delivery of exceptional quality food service. Within Government Services, contract compliance is critical; food safety and customer service are high priorities. Extensive safety audits and customer surveys are conducted at each unit on a weekly basis. Sodexo offers innovative and healthy concepts while keeping to a strict profit and loss financial statement.

What You'll Do
Be a people person with a strong focus on maintaining positive client relations; a solid manager/leader who is perceptive and has attention to details that make a difference – quality and presentation of food – customer service
Be SERVICE focused – including providing excellent customer service in a welcoming dining environment
Be proficient in use of online Food Management Systems for menu/recipe planning, ordering and inventory
Demonstrate proven financial acumen/success: food costs, labor costs, budgets
Support workplace inclusion activities
Provide team leadership and training

What You Bring
Work history demonstrating strong employee engagement and leadership skills, with supervisory experience and the ability to work collaboratively
Strong background in safety and sanitation compliance
High-volume food service experience
Contract food service experience preferred
Experience managing staff in a union environment preferred
Ability to manage multiple priorities, professional communication skills, and a passion for a high level of customer service
Ability to prioritize tasks and be flexible to take on additional responsibilities as needed
