Are you passionate about managing relationships within the Private Equity (PE) sector and driving the adoption of Amazon Web Services for portfolio companies? We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Principal Business Development Manager to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this pivotal role, you will influence decision-making processes within the PE community, positioning AWS as the go-to cloud partner for infrastructure needs.
The PE industry is evolving, and companies are actively seeking innovative ways to create value through technical and digital transformation. Your mission is to help these firms navigate their cloud journey, ensuring they realize the full potential of AWS services.
As a key member of our Business Development team, you will:
Develop and execute strategies to enhance AWS's visibility and engagement within the PE community.
Identify and target PE-backed companies with infrastructure requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams, including sales, partners, marketing, and support, to implement the strategic business development plan.
Provide tailored support to PE firms and their portfolio companies, ensuring their success with AWS services.
Leverage tools like Salesforce to track progress and manage relationships effectively.
Present business reviews to senior management, sharing insights on progress and challenges.
Act as the primary liaison between AWS and the PE sector, staying attuned to market dynamics.
Manage a high volume of engagements in the fast-paced cloud computing landscape.
Possess knowledge in areas such as database systems, core distributed computing concepts, and cloud fundamentals.
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of experience in developing and executing business agreements.
7+ years of professional or military experience.
Bachelor's degree.
Proven ability to influence leadership decisions at an organizational level.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience as a founder or executive in related sectors, or as a business unit leader.
Track record of selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations.
