Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida
Training & Development Manager| Four Day Workweek | Hiring up to $46,641
At Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, we believe that when volunteers are supported, girls thrive. We are searching for a dynamic and innovative Training & Development Manager (Volunteer Training Manager) to join our team at our Lake Worth Headquarters. This role is your chance to directly influence how effectively our adult volunteers lead troops and service units, ensuring every Girl Scout has a positive and empowering experience.
The Training & Development Manager is at the heart of our mission, creating training and education opportunities that equip volunteers with the confidence and skills they need to succeed. From developing and delivering engaging curricula, to designing a modern onboarding and orientation process, to building out a calendar of adult learning opportunities, this position ensures our volunteers are never without the tools they need to lead. Your work will drive retention, strengthen the volunteer community, and ultimately impact the thousands of girls we serve across Southeast Florida.
This is not solely a behind the desk job. The Training & Development Manager actively engages with volunteers, listens to their needs, and responds with tailored solutions. You will facilitate in-person and virtual training sessions, oversee learning through platforms like gsLearn, and collaborate with colleagues to integrate training into every part of the volunteer journey. You'll also recruit and support a volunteer training committee, giving committed volunteers a voice in shaping how we train and engage their peers. Every project you touch will connect directly to the Girl Scout mission of building girls of courage, confidence, and character who make the world a better place.
The Training & Development Manager role requires the ability to think strategically while also managing details. You'll design, implement, and evaluate training programs, track outcomes, and keep detailed records to measure impact. Creativity and collaboration are key, as you'll work with multiple teams to update content, refresh volunteer position descriptions, and enhance tools like the Volunteer Toolkit and the online volunteer hub. Flexibility is also essential, as some evenings and weekends will be required to meet the needs of our volunteers and community.
We're looking for someone with at least three years of relevant experience, ideally with a background in adult training, curriculum development, or volunteer management. A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, and strong preference is given to candidates with nonprofit experience, Salesforce knowledge, and bilingual skills in Spanish or French. Just as important are interpersonal strengths-the ability to connect with people, communicate clearly, and inspire volunteers to succeed.
At Girl Scouts of Southeast Florida, we believe in taking care of our team. The Training & Development Manager role comes with a competitive starting salary of up to $46,641, a four-day workweek, and an outstanding benefits package. Team members enjoy generous vacation and sick leave, employer-subsidized medical and dental coverage, employer-paid life and disability insurance, immediate 401k match, and a paid summer shutdown and winter break. We also prioritize recognition, professional development, and employee well-being through lunch-and-learns, employee recognition milestones, and required annual development goals.
This is more than a job-it's a chance to shape the volunteer experience in ways that ripple out to every girl in our council. If you are ready to bring energy, creativity, and leadership to a role where your impact will be felt every day, apply now to become our next Training & Development Manager. Together, we can ensure volunteers have the tools they need to help girls achieve their fullest potential.
