Overview
Legal Executive Assistant - Regulatory (Washington) at DLA Piper. Washington DC and surrounding area. This role supports multiple lawyers in the Regulatory practice as a proactive partner, ensuring meetings and materials are efficient and effective while helping to deliver against practice and client priorities. Location : This position can sit in our Washington D.C. office and offers a Hybrid work schedule, working at least 3 days in the office. Responsibilities
Completes and carries out major assignments and a broad variety of tasks in support of the partner's practice. Exercise judgment and delegate administrative tasks and document work to other Legal Support Services team members; maintain responsibility for and track all activities/tasks/projects to successful completion. Substantively and positively impact the partner's financial viability with client matters. Exercise discretion with confidential and sensitive matters. Plan, coordinate, and ensure attorney calendars are maintained; identify and resolve scheduling conflicts; coordinate complex travel itineraries. Work closely with attorneys to keep them informed of commitments, prepare materials in advance, and follow up appropriately. Draft letters or other correspondence, prepare reports, and complete tasks that facilitate the partner's ability to build the practice. Handle extensive direct interaction with clients and outside business contacts. Prepare agendas, reports, and presentations; compose sometimes confidential correspondence. Develop and maintain professional relationships, guiding teams to work together efficiently and providing feedback on projects and assignments. Coordinate department or practice group meetings, lead logistics, and engage appropriate parties for successful meetings. Participate in practice group and client team meetings; prepare agendas, review materials for accuracy, and distribute to attendees. Maintain paper and electronic filing systems in line with Information Governance policies. Oversee billing matters (pre-billing tasks, international billing, liaison with biller and collections) and monitor client budgets for reporting purposes. Qualifications
Advanced computer skills in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Solid organizational skills to manage multiple high-priority projects; strong work ethic and a flexible, dependable attitude. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise professional judgment. Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED. Preferred Education: Bachelor\'s Degree. Minimum Years Of Experience: 5 years professional executive administrative experience supporting partners and/or executives. Essential Job Expectations

The firms expected hiring range for this position is $44.44 - $58.88 per hour, depending on geographic market. Non-exempt positions are hourly with overtime as required.
