GIS Solution Engineer – Geo Experience Center

Overview
Esri is seeking a GIS Solution Engineer for the Geo Experience Center. You will join a skilled team that helps shape strategies for the adoption and use of Esri technologies, presenting geospatial solutions to executives and strategic customers at the Esri-Redlands Campus. You will work with a team to help customers take advantage of geospatial technologies to address their challenges, and collaborate with Esri’s senior leadership and software development teams. Responsibilities
Build relationships by presenting, demonstrating, and supporting the sale of Esri software and solutions as part of the Geo Experience Center team; assist in planning and executing sales strategies. Become a subject matter expert on Esri’s platform and strategic products; speak confidently with customers about Esri technologies and convey the Esri message; anticipate customer needs and technology trends. Proactively craft and propose geospatial solutions that illustrate business value and address critical challenges faced by customers. Apply spatial thinking to problem solving, break problems into components, explore multiple solutions, identify improvement opportunities, and integrate new concepts and trends appropriately. Present technical demonstrations of proposed solutions to customers; design presentations for technical and non-technical audiences; provide best practices for use and customization of Esri technology. Requirements
3+ years of experience with Esri technology creating maps, performing spatial analysis, and configuring web applications 1+ years of experience across multiple industries Knowledge of cloud computing concepts in addition to enterprise solutions Strong presentation, interpersonal, and listening skills Experience in mobile development and familiarity with game engine development Programming or scripting experience in one or more of: .NET, C++, Kotlin, Swift, Python, JavaScript, Java Understanding of ArcGIS from an IT context (hardware, storage, security, networking, web services, cloud computing) Ability to work in high-stress, collaborative environments Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 25-50% Bachelor’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field Visa sponsorship is not available for this posting; applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. Recommended Qualifications
Ability to troubleshoot client issues related to Esri application deployment and system architecture Basic understanding of artificial intelligence and machine learning concepts Experience in technical consulting and solution design, with understanding of sales and business development processes Experience combining real-time information streams with GIS data and IT infrastructure Experience with geodatabases and underlying DBMS technology Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., Maya, Blender, Houdini) Master’s degree in geography, computer science, or a related field Total Rewards
