Key job responsibilities Develop ML models for various recommendation & search systems using deep learning, online learning, and optimization methods Work closely with other scientists, engineers and product managers to expand the depth of product insights with data, create experiments to determine high-impact projects to include in planning roadmaps Stay up-to-date with advancements and the latest modeling techniques in the field Publish research findings in top conferences and journals A day in the life We’re using advanced approaches such as foundation models to connect information about our videos and customers from multiple sources, enabling effective recommendations even with limited behavioral signals. We seek creative, customer-obsessed ML scientists who can apply the latest research and state-of-the-art algorithms to build highly scalable page personalization solutions. You will be a research leader and hands-on ML practitioner, guiding and collaborating with engineers, scientists, and senior leaders in Prime Video, with opportunities to publish research internally and externally. Basic Qualifications 3+ years of building models for business applications PhD, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of CS, CE, ML or related field experience Experience programming in Java, C++, Python or related language Experience in algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, or high-performance computing Preferred Qualifications Experience using Unix/Linux Experience in professional software development Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year to $223,400/year. Pay is based on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
