CesiumAstro is developing out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We offer a dynamic, cross-functional work environment with hands-on, autonomous projects. We are seeking passionate, collaborative, energetic, and forward-thinking individuals to join our team.
Responsibilities
Lead RF hardware design tasks for RF circuits, modules, and systems through all development phases, including concept, requirements, architecture, part selection, detailed design, analysis, manufacturing, testing, qualification, and in-orbit support.
Design and layout board-level schematics and PCB for RF circuits; apply system-level concepts such as link budgets and modulation schemes; drive end-to-end RF product development.
Work on phased array communication systems including RF front ends, frequency converters and synthesizers, filters, beamformers, power dividers, and phased array antennas.
Prepare block diagrams, detailed schematics, PCB layouts/routing, simulations, and test designs; mentor others and potentially lead company programs.
Present engineering design review materials to customers and the executive team; participate in proposal-writing efforts; demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Requirements and Qualifications
Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university; Master of Science (MS) desired.
Minimum of 9 years of industry experience in design and analysis of RF electronics and systems.
Expert-level proficiency in simulation tools such as CST and ADS, and EDA tools such as Altium.
Extensive hands-on experience with lab instruments including vector network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and oscilloscopes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience
Python or other programming languages.
Aerospace electronics design, development, and qualification.
Worst-case circuit analysis, failure mode and criticality analyses, and reliability analysis.
Antenna design.
EMI/EMC design and mitigation techniques.
Salary:
$160,000 - $200,000 a year.
