We are looking for a senior Test Engineer to contribute to our DevSecOps practice, delivering quality assurance services to support application, cloud and data systems development. The candidate should have 10+ years of experience in quality assurance and test automation within an Agile/DevSecOps environment. Responsibilities
Understand stakeholders’ needs and convey them to developers Collaborate with product design to determine testing parameters Write test plans, create test cases, test procedures, bug reports, and final QA reports Manage test data architecture definitions and requests Troubleshoot errors and streamline test procedures Test and examine code, analyze results, including data validation, functional, performance/load, usability, and accessibility testing Establish automated testing tools and infrastructure for test automation Provide validation testing for cloud migrations and develop automated testing scripts with parallelization and idempotency Automate and improve development, testing, deployment, and release processes Ensure systems are secure against cybersecurity threats Collaborate with developers to ensure adherence to established processes Document current environment state, perform gap analysis, and produce options/recommendations Leverage virtualization and containerization to optimize testing Contribute to continuous improvement of DevSecOps processes and tools Propose and implement solutions for service improvements; present status updates and provide cross-training Act as an individual contributor and mentor more junior team members Qualifications
Ability to obtain a U.S. government Security Clearance Bachelor’s Degree 10 years of professional experience 3+ years of experience with Git SCM providers (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket) 3+ years of experience with one or more programming or scripting languages 3+ years of DevSecOps experience in an Agile environment Experience using Docker and platforms such as Kubernetes 3+ years of experience implementing test automation with tools like Selenium, Appium, SoapUI, RestAssured, Postman Experience integrating test automation (performance, security, functional) into CI/CD pipelines Experience with performance and load testing Experience in one or more cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, or GCP) About Steampunk
Steampunk relies on several factors to determine salary, including geographic location, requirements, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience. The projected compensation range for this position is $90,000 to $130,000. This estimate represents a typical annual salary range.
