Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, while ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and ensure the integrity of financial data. Ensure compliance related to financial reporting and disclosure requirements. Conduct detailed financial analysis, identify trends, provide strategic insights, and prepare ad hoc reporting to support management decision-making. Lead and coordinate financial audits with internal and external auditors, including responding to audit inquiries and reviewing documentation. Perform technical accounting research, interpret new accounting standards, and ensure they are implemented effectively. Oversee the development and collection of data necessary to prepare quarterly budget analyses and work with department heads to facilitate their annual budgeting process as well as explain significant cost variances. Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff, ensuring they meet departmental standards and develop their skills. Serve as a key point of contact for senior management, business units, and external stakeholders, communicating financial performance and insights. Meet with divisional controllers on accounting and financial reporting issues. Qualifications
Required Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in accounting A CPA (Certified Public Accountant) is required Experience: Significant experience (e.g., 8+ years) in financial reporting, with a strong emphasis on accounting and regulatory compliance Advanced knowledge of GAAP, SEC reporting, and financial statement analysis Experience with multi-layered complex consolidations Audit experience preferred Proven ability to manage a team and develop team members, resolve complex issues Experience with holding company consolidations and reporting Advanced Excel skills Ability to work in a complex and rapidly evolving environment Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Seniority level
