Director, Software Engineering – Value Delivery position with Georgia-Pacific LLC. Member of the Software Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Leadership Team. The role involves working within a dynamic, cross-functional team to meet the needs of our Commercial Segments, disrupting and optimizing the existing set of solutions and related business processes. Location

Onsite role (3 days in office) based out of the Atlanta GP office. Team

GP’s Software Engineering & Integration team designs, builds, delivers, and maintains custom software solutions and integrations. We are transforming to enable engineers to reuse work and adapt to new use cases, delivering profitable business outcomes by partnering with business analysts, delivery leaders, and quality engineers. What You Will Do

Guide and enable each team member in the Value Delivery organization to realize their potential and contribute effectively. Hire, develop, and retain employees with diverse aptitudes, strengths, and passions. Promote and apply Principle Based Management culture. Drive the vision and roadmap for the Value Delivery organization, delivering internal and external mission-critical applications and partner integrations for Commercial Segments. Lead end-to-end delivery and support of all custom applications used by Commercial Segments (Consumer Products, Packaging & Cellulose and Building Products). Collaborate with other IT capabilities and the business to identify opportunities to drive business value and operational excellence. Manage resource allocation to focus on initiatives delivering the highest value. Drive adoption of GenAI tools within the capability to transform ways of working and improve productivity. Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and transformation. Build and maintain strategic partnerships with vendors to ensure successful project delivery and tooling. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, regularly reviewing and optimizing processes and engineering practices with economic thinking. Support team members to become more contribution-driven and align roles/responsibilities to maximize impact. Create an environment where diverse perspectives and skills are valued and leveraged. Collaborate with SE&I and IT Capabilities as a challenge partner. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Experience collaborating with Product Management teams and building strong relationships with business and product leaders. Experience driving business value through innovative technology solutions. Experience adopting GenAI tools and practices to improve developer experience and productivity. Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies. Experience with cloud-based application development across stacks (e.g., .Net, Python, Go). Experience leading global, distributed teams. AWS knowledge and experience. Must have legal authorization to work permanently in the United States for any employer without visa transfer or sponsorship. What Will Put You Ahead

Experience leading Quality Engineering teams focused on defect prevention and test automation. Expertise in integrations and orchestrating custom solutions and ERPs using Microservices and iPaaS (e.g., MuleSoft). Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or Engineering.
