Lead cross-team initiatives to define, measure, optimize, and monitor key performance indicators in Pixel Camera's Android application code. Collaborate with Camera feature and on-device ML teams to ensure features are optimized for speed, memory, and thermals. Develop and utilize telemetry data infrastructure to offer leadership insights crucial for verifiable high performance, reliability, and system health. Provide insights from advanced profiling tools to prioritize and validate improvements. Minimum qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java). 1 year of experience with software design and architecture. Experience with Android development. Experience with performance optimization. Preferred qualifications
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. 3 years of experience shipping embedded software products. Experience with performance and memory optimization. Experience developing Linux, Android, or embedded systems. Experience with TPU, GPU, and on-device ML models. Experience with SQL and data pipelines. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $166,000-$244,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
