Position Overview:
Zyngas mission is to connect the world through games. Its vision was that gaming would become a mass market activity, and "play" would be an important verb in our daily lives. As a part of this vision, Zynga Analytics partners with studios to release and grow multiple games, while also being responsible for the analytics stack and central tools. Zyngas Data Science and Analytics team uses our outstanding and expansive data to model and predict user behavior, making our games more personalized and more fun to play! We continually strive to better understand our players and provide them with experiences that surprise and delight. We are seeking a Senior Data Analyst to support cross-functional initiatives across product, marketing and central analytics. As a part of the Central Analytics team, this role will go beyond reactive reporting by building scalable, AI-driven analytics solutions and acting as a thought partner in shaping strategy. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with ability to influence through data, helping automate ad-hoc requests and uncover insights that drive measurable impact across the business. Work with large amounts of data to find opportunities to improve the experience that Zynga provides to its players Build scalable analytics solutions to monitor product health, player behavior, and business performance Partner with cross-functional teams to surface insights and deliver actionable recommendations Collaborate with Game Analytics and Product Managers to validate hypotheses through cohort and behavioral analysis, challenge assumptions with evidence-based alternatives Proactively explore and prototype opportunities using
AI-driven automation
to streamline investigations and improve decision-making What You Bring:
Proficiency in SQL and Python with hands-on experience in Redshift, Databricks, PySpark, Airflow and DBT Adept in at least one visualization tool such as Tableau Understanding of B2C app metrics and KPIs, performance monitoring, and insights Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate ambiguous questions into data-driven insights Familiarity with AI/ML concepts or experience in automating recurring analytics workflows is a plus Demonstrated experience with some or all of the following: data mining, optimization, experimental design, computational analytics, econometric modeling. 4+ years of work experience in data analytics or data science roles BS in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Economics, or other quantitative field; Masters, MBA, or PhD preferred What We Offer You
