(Renewable Energy) - Frederick MD ( 1 day in office ) Qualifications
Ideally seeking at least 4+ years of relevant working experience within project engineering/project development Prior working exposure within renewable energy field is highly preferred (including experience with power, energy, renewables, building simulation programs and methodologies, lighting retrofits, and energy conservation) Bachelor's Degree required. Mechanical or Electrical engineering majors highly preferred eQuest software experience is a plus PE, LEED, CEM or EIT certifications are a plus but not required. They will help fund the incumbent candidate's pursuit of prior mentioned certifications. ESCO and/or Design Build experience is a major plus Prior working experience with federal construction projects is highly preferred Knowledge of U.S. commercial and Government standards, regulations and codes will be beneficial Responsibilities
Project Development Engineer will conduct analyses and modeling of energy efficient systems in commercial, institutional, and industrial end-use applications addressing power, energy, lighting, renewables, building envelope, and control systems to determine the pre-condition energy usage and recommended post-condition energy efficient system modifications. Assess existing mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing systems and document energy performance information, including utility data and facility infrastructure drawings Identify opportunities for energy conservation or efficiency, prepare energy savings calculations, and perform engineering assessments including baseline profiles, end-use and retrofit analysis Analyze and prepare conceptual and detailed engineering design and bid documents, cost estimates, drawings, and specifications for energy efficient building technology and system measures Seniority level
