Overview
AV/VTC AV Programmer – SR with Security Clearance at SteelGate LLC Ft. Shafter, Hawaii | Secret Required Responsible for the research, design, planning, and development of new advanced technologies for Audio Visual/Video Teleconference capabilities for USARPAC. Performs design, project management, acceptance testing, and vendor assessment activities. Communicate with internal and external groups to determine communications requirements and prepare engineering specifications to ensure functional requirements are met. Help drive a consistent set of standards for equipment, network protocols, configuration, and operational procedures. Experienced as an Extron, AMX, and Crestron programmer for AV/VTC environments. Provides programming support for designing, planning for, and installing video walls, conference rooms, digital displays, and unclassified and classified video teleconferencing. Analyzes requirements, identify shortfalls, develop programming solutions and detailed AV system designs, create and execute implementation plans, perform system integration, system testing, and user training. Individual will perform general installation, device configuration, programming (Extron, Crestron and AMX control Systems), maintenance, and sustainment as part of the AV modernization and sustainment team.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and manage the baseline programming code for standardized AV systems. Make recommendations to the AV Lead to continually improve and innovate existing and new AV systems. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to AV/VTC, including hardware and software problems. Develop Systems Acceptance Tests (SAT) and user guides. Train users on how to use AV/VTC and Teams systems and provide ongoing support and maintenance. Collaborate with other IT and communications professionals to integrate AV/VTC systems with other technologies, such as unified communications platforms, collaboration software, VCSs, and CMSs.
Qualifications
10+ years of relevant job experience In depth experience with Extron, AMX, and Crestron programming Current COMP TIA SEC+ Certification Meet Level II DoD 8570 requirements Minimum DoD Secret Clearance w/ ability to obtain TS/SSBI on request BS Degree in Technical Area or equivalent experience United States Citizen
