Overview Event Services is a growing department whose primary function is to assure the events hosted by Utah State University, "Exceed Expectations". The primary purpose of this position is to support the Central Reservations Manager.
Responsibilities Data Entry for USU's Event Management System (EMS and Coursedog) Add, review, and verify data for deficiencies, errors, or expired information Assist with special projects that can require large amounts of data entry and software configuration Generate reports and collect data on an ad hoc basis Troubleshooting for EMS and Coursedog
Resolve support requests from students, faculty, and staff Use strong oral communication skills of technical concepts to gather information from users Understand software and applications for troubleshooting common issues Central Reservations and Training Facilitator Support
Intake and updates for space or event reservations Answer customer questions about reservation processes Software configuration for identified needs Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Ability to operate common office equipment like phones, scanners and printers Can provide customer service support to multiple users with competing deadlines Possess and uses basic organizational skills, time management skills, situational problem solving, written and oral communication skills Preferred Qualifications:
Can understand commonly used applications (Microsoft Suite, Google Suite, etc) Can think analytically, identifying warning signs for potential issues Can provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with team members, students, staff, and other customers Can work independently
Ability to work Monday- Friday 8:00 am- 5:00 pm, with the flexibility to work a varied schedule when necessary.
