As a member of the Campbell Snacks Category Management Team, the Dollar/Drug/Value/Military Senior Category Management Lead will accelerate strategic and tactical thought leadership for our most strategic Customers. This role leads and executes against team growth objectives, partners on category reviews, performs monthly performance tracking, and serves as the trusted advisor for retailers. The role partners with key retailer decision makers to align on priorities, insight needs and whitespace identification to advance Campbell Snacks strategic retailer partnerships. It uses point-of-sale, loyalty and shopper data to create clear actionable category recommendations and focuses on all Campbell Snacks products and categories. What you will do
Proactively develop collaborative relationships with retail partners to be viewed as a trusted resource for category insights and growth opportunities. Advise Retailer partners on category and shopper-centric opportunities to grow market share. Lead development of category strategy and assist customers with integrated category strategy. Lead strategic and tactical recommendations on Distribution, Shelving, Merchandising and Pricing (DSMP) goals to improve overall category performance. Develop customer-specific presentations of relevant consumer insights, competitive responses, and new item/category selling strategies. Lead and participate in line reviews and recurring customer category reviews, JBP plans, and Top-to-Top meetings. Lead understanding of plan-o-gram insights and assortment to identify and drive strategic sales opportunities and customer growth objectives. Develop strong working relationships with category leadership, buyers, and cross-functional teams. Provide distribution forecast on managed accounts as input into Campbell Snacks IBP cycle. The Dollar/Drug/Value/Military Lead will work with buyers, insights teams, and senior leaders to drive strategic category direction. This role requires professionalism and executive presence, balancing customer and Campbell's needs. It also works with cross-functional groups including the retailer, internal customer teams, and World HQ resources. What you bring to the table… (Must have)
Bachelor’s Degree required 8+ years of experience in Category Management or data analytics in the CPG industry 6+ years IRI or Nielsen syndicated data experience Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail Robust communication and interpersonal skills Ability to think strategically Problem solving and analytical ability Strong technical skills (ProSpace, Excel, Access, etc.) POG software (Blue Yonder) and extensive loyalty model experience Nice to have
Mastery in loyalty card utilization, category & shopper knowledge Expert in strategic storytelling Fluent in planogram drawing High level of self-motivation and discipline Exceptional organization and communication skills (written & verbal) Strong math, analytics, and problem-solving abilities Ability to work with diverse stakeholders and maintain regular contact Team oriented with the ability to work independently Initiative to collaborate across internal and external groups toward common goals This role is fully remote. Must reside in a customer geography. Approximately 15% travel is required. Compensation and Benefits
The target base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$108,200
and
$155,500 . Individual base pay depends on work location and factors such as experience, skills, and education. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. We offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
