Overview

We are seeking a Service Project Manager to join our federal team leading Maintenance and Service projects at the Washington Navy Yard in Washington D.C. This is a military-friendly role; experience is not required. The role will manage the teams doing facility maintenance and service work primarily related to HVAC Controls and Building Automation Systems across the Navy Yard and will oversee approximately 6-10 direct reports. Shift: Primarily Monday-Friday, day shift. Benefits: Eligible for benefits on first day of employment. Paid time off: 3 weeks vacation, 5 sick days, 3 floating holidays, and 10 standard holidays (6.5 weeks total). Responsibilities

Serve as a primary on-site leader for execution on assigned projects. Manage the selection, scope of work, procurement, quality and payment of project materials, vendors, and subcontractors. Negotiate, prepare, and issue subcontracts. Develop project schedules with the assistance of Mechanics, Technicians, and Project Managers, and execute according to plan. Ensure projects are completed accurately, on time, billed within budget, and within contract scope. Ensure work complies with state, local, and Federal legal requirements and maintain high ethical standards. Adhere to safety standards, internal policies, and US Army Corps of Engineers health and safety requirements. Understand project and contract scopes; pursue growth opportunities to help the customer achieve outcomes. Assist with cost estimates, contract terms and conditions, and technical responses to client requests for information, bids, and proposals. Ensure technicians and subcontractors complete work per established standards and clearly communicate services performed and completion criteria to customers. Complete timely and accurate project billing to maintain profitability and positive cash flow. Analyze financial reporting and project schedules to proactively address issues; communicate progress and status to leadership as required. Provide periodic project status updates and monthly revenue, cost, and gross margin forecasts. Manage risk, establish recovery plans, and resolve disputes to minimize escalation. Ensure project document controls and deliverables comply with contract requirements and Johnson Controls standards. Manage selection, ordering, and delivery schedule of materials for assigned projects. Coordinate customer-training requirements. Required Qualifications

Project management or service management experience supporting commercial or industrial building construction or service. Proficiency in project management software, financial accounting systems; CMMS experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey technical material to a non-technical audience. MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Microsoft Project, Outlook, and basic Windows proficiency. Ability to obtain and maintain required government security clearances as needed (background/character, criminal history, employment, and credit checks). Preferred Qualifications

Management experience with HVAC controls / Building Automation Systems (BAS). Proficiency with CMMS (Maximo preferred). Experience with Facility-Related Control Systems (FRCS) and integration/commissioning of field controllers. Experience with large HVAC equipment (chillers, boilers, etc.). Experience reading and interpreting government contracts and procurement standards. Experience managing multiple trades and subcontractors. Preferred Education

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work-related experience. Who We Are
