Business Banking Officer I, II, or Senior - Hilo at Central Pacific Bank. Base pay range : $47,017.00/yr - $87,619.00/yr Position Function: Responsible for managing, retaining and growing an assigned portfolio of business clients with deposit and loan account relationships that meet established lending and operational policies; and provides maximum profitability while managing risk. Responsibilities
Deposit and Loan Portfolio Growth/Maintenance: Grow the deposit and loan portfolio with existing and new clients; understand client needs and maintain profiles to identify opportunities; generate new business from referrals and prospecting; maintain and generate new business through an organized and targeted calling program; develop and maintain a business referral and information network consisting of trusted professional contacts; partner with other lines of business to generate referrals; possess or be able to learn product knowledge and commercial credit skills. Credit and Loan Portfolio Management: Possess or be able to learn commercial credit skills; adhere to the Bank’s credit policies and procedures; appropriately manage and maintain credit quality aspects of the assigned portfolio, including loan grading, timely renewals, minimizing delinquencies, monitoring financial trends, recommending waivers/amendments, and maintaining compliant credit files; adhere to the Bank’s compliance policies and procedures. Relationship Management: Identify cross-sell opportunities by knowing the client; collaborate with business and branch partners to provide expertise for all stages of the client’s business and personal life; deliver an exceptional customer experience with quality service; maintain regular client contact evidenced by call reports and profiling; nominate worthy candidates for appropriate business and community awards. Business Development and Community Relations: Participate in bank-sponsored and community events to develop business; become knowledgeable and active in organizations related to Business Banking; promote and increase the goodwill of the bank within the community while expanding business relationships; nominate clients/prospects for awards and recognition; create value-added benefits to the business community through events, programs, and promotions. Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year university or equivalent experience required. Experience: Officer I: 1+ years of customer service experience; 1+ years of credit or small business financial products sales experience; 6-12 months of credit training and credit analysis production work (or equivalent) preferred. Officer II: 2+ years small business lending experience. Senior Officer: 5+ years small business lending experience. Functional Skills: Must be able to work a flexible schedule including before/after normal hours, weekends, and holidays when necessary. Current driver’s license and access to reliable transportation. Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Must be able to perform light physical work and move or lift items up to 20 pounds. Must be able to operate standard office equipment and communicate clearly with internal and external customers.
