(as part of the Sentinel program) Job description notes: This position will support the Sentinel program and requires a candidate who can handle front-end and back-end development, including evaluating COTS candidates.

Responsibilities
Developing front end website architecture. Designing user interactions on web pages. Developing back-end website applications. Creating servers and databases for functionality. Ensuring responsiveness of applications. Working alongside graphic designers for web design features. Designing and developing APIs. Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages. Evaluation of COTS products that may contribute to the end product.
The Successful Candidate
Communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Develop technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Perform work without appreciable direction.

Job Qualifications
Sr. Principal Engineer Software: 8 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 6 Years with Masters, 4 Years with PhD or 4 additional years in lieu of a degree. Active DoD Secret clearance - a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years. US Citizenship with Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) Proficient in C, C++ or Assembly Thorough understanding of Operating Systems such as VxWorks and Linux. A solid understanding in hardware architecture, Hardware Registers, Busses, Interrupts, Device Communication, and Protocols like PCI, SPI, I2C, UARTS, SERDES Experience in CPU configuration, Cache Configuration, Flash, Memory map configuration, PCI tree static configuration
Nice-to-Have Qualifications
Embedded Controller experience like Arduino and DSP Proficient in Embedded Linux Development. Hands-on experience with a Real Time Operating System (RTOS) Both VxWorks and Linux embedded development experience Device driver development experience Knowledge of Board Support Package development and Bootloaders
Primary Level Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; Northrop Grumman considers factors such as scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, and market conditions when determining offers.
Other compensation may include overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses. Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and PTO.
