Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field. Experience Requirements: Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience with a BS/BA Minimum of 6 years with a MS/MA Minimum of 3 years with a PhD Expert experience and knowledge of sustainment lifecycle management activities for programs and project operations.

Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) to support Low-Code/No-Code Development Platform models.

Experience in agile and hybrid low-code application development. Experience as an application programmer on large-scale DBMS, knowledge of computer equipment, and ability to develop complex software to satisfy design objectives. Relevant certification from a nationally recognized technical authority. Must possess Secret Clearance Preferred Experience in one or more of the following: Informatica Oracle B2B Ab Initio AWS GovCloud Oracle Integration Cloud ServiceNow Qlik Peraton is seeking experienced Application Programmers to join our team supporting the Defense Logistics Agency providing data integration capabilities to the DoD and other Federal Agencies. The team is based out of Herndon, VA with the primary customer located in Dayton, OH, but this role can be supported 100% remotely. Applicants will utilize ETL applications and similar tools to develop a modernized transaction processing platform, enhance reporting capabilities for customer data flows, and integrate a new customer portal for transaction transparency and efficient customer onboarding. The Applications Programmersupports the full lifecycle sustainment of systems and applications in support of enterprise programs and operations. This role ensures the long-term maintainability, performance, and security of systems across a variety of functional domains, including logistics, finance, contracts, personnel, and manpower. The Sustainment SME provides expert guidance on sustainment strategy, software optimization, documentation, and lifecycle improvement across deployed platforms. Sustainment Lifecycle Management. Provides expert-level sustainment support to ensure systems remain fully operational, secure, and optimized throughout their lifecycle. Performs the following support functions to sustain, improve, and manage enterprise applications and systems under assigned operational control: Analyze and interpret functional business applications and system requirements to maintain continuity in key areas including logistics, finance, accounting, contracts, and personnel systems Translate functional requirements and detailed design specifications into efficient and maintainable software solutions. Design, develop, test, debug, and refine code to meet evolving system needs. Enhance existing software to improve performance, reduce operating time, and increase overall system efficiency. Create and maintain accurate, user-level and program-level documentation to ensure sustainment supportability and knowledge transfer. Provide technical leadership to development teams and coordinate programming efforts to meet sustainment and enhancement milestones. Diagnose and resolve complex system issues, considering limitations of hardware, operating time, and resource constraints to deliver reliable outcomes. Design logic flowcharts and system diagrams to support the sustainment of systems architecture and workflows. Review and update sustainment procedures to align with best practices and evolving mission requirements, ensuring minimal downtime and optimized support.
