Associate Director, IT Business Partner for Human Resources at Avidity Biosciences. Hybrid work location. Base pay range: $185,250.00/yr - $204,750.00/yr. Job type: Full time. FLSA: Exempt. As the Associate Director, IT Business Partner for Human Resources, you’ll align technology with business needs, acting as a trusted advisor and solution architect for the HR team and related functions to design and implement digital tools and processes that support data integrity, scalability, and business impact. This is a hands-on leadership role with influence across Avidity’s enterprise systems, where you’ll lead initiatives, foster collaboration, and ensure our digital roadmap reflects the evolving needs of our people. What You Will Contribute
Act as the strategic IT partner to HR, representing their needs across Avidity’s broader Digital Roadmap. Collaborate with HR and cross-functional partners to identify challenges, define priorities, and implement technology solutions aligned with business goals. Facilitate business process discovery sessions to assess needs, gather requirements, and conduct gap analyses. Guide stakeholders in selecting and optimizing systems, ensuring architecture, security, and integration standards are upheld. Lead and support the implementation and maintenance of key HR technologies, including ADP, ServiceNow, and others. Build strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality solutions and support. Supervise external consultants and vendors, ensuring timely and effective execution. Stay informed on industry trends in biotech/pharma and HR tech to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Perform other responsibilities as needed to advance IT-HR partnership success. What We Seek
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Information Technology or Business preferred. 8+ years of progressive IT experience (or 6+ with an MS), including 3+ years supporting HR functions. Experience in the Life Sciences industry is required. Proven success in an IT business partner or consultancy role, delivering solutions in collaboration with HR teams. Strong project management skills with a track record of successful system implementations. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization. Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage shifting priorities and tight deadlines. Familiarity with ADP and experience leading or supporting its implementation. Understanding of HR compliance controls, including those related to SOX. What We Will Provide To You
The base salary range for this role is $185,250 - $204,750. The final compensation will be commensurate with factors such as relevant experience, skillset, internal equity and market factors.
