Senior Software Engineer (AWS) at Abrigo. We provide technology that community financial institutions use to manage risk and drive growth. Our solutions automate key processes – from anti-money laundering to fraud detection to CECL readiness to lending workflows – empowering our customers by addressing their Enterprise Risk Management needs. This role is a hands-on, individual contributor position focused on designing, developing, and implementing Financial Crimes software solutions. You will collaborate across engineering, product, and implementation teams and own delivery with a strong sense of ownership and entrepreneurship. The position can be based in Raleigh, NC, Austin, TX, or remote. What You’ll Do
Solution Design and Development: Translate business requirements into technical designs focusing on scalability, reliability, security, and cost-effectiveness in the AWS cloud. AI-First coding practices: Apply modern AI-First development practices using tools such as Copilot, Augment Code, Claude Code across design, development, and deployment. AI/ML Integration: Design, develop, and implement AI/ML models tailored to the web application, including recommendation systems, predictive analytics, NLP, and data analytics. AWS Services Expertise: Develop and deploy applications leveraging AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.) as needed by the project. Code Quality and Best Practices: Write clean, well-documented .NET code with robust testing and adherence to coding standards. Performance Optimization: Monitor and optimize applications for speed, scalability, and performance in AWS using caching, load balancing, and related techniques. Security Focus: Implement security best practices and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Troubleshooting and Support: Diagnose and resolve complex production issues with strong problem-solving and analytical skills. What You’ll Need
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent work experience. 4+ years in designing and developing multi-tier browser-based applications using .NET; experience with RESTful services, LINQ, and cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. 3+ years of front-end experience (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.js. Extensive experience with AWS cloud-native architecture (EC2, EKS, S3, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, Kafka, messaging services). Solid knowledge of microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and serverless computing. Hands-on experience with .NET, C#, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Vue.js, APIs, and RESTful services. Experience modernizing legacy software platforms, including refactoring and testing strategies. Exposure to data ingestion platforms and AI/ML solutions (OpenAI, AWS Bedrock, SageMaker). DevOps familiarity: CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation). Security best practices for cloud-based solutions; strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel occasionally for team events as needed. AWS Certifications – Must-have (AWS Certified Developer – Associate or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional). AI/ML Training – Preferred (courses or certifications in AI/ML, with emphasis on algorithms, deep learning, NLP). What You’ll Get
