CLEAResult . Energetics - CLEAResult Energy Sustainability Consulting provides a full spectrum of clean energy consulting services to public and private sector clients. The Energetics team informs and expedites the development and market success of novel energy technologies, strategies, and practices that deliver a sustainable future. Energetics was founded in 1979 and joined CLEAResult in 2024 as a division within CLEAResult's Energy Sustainability Services business. This is a remote position. Qualified candidates can live anywhere in the US, but significant travel is expected to be successful.
Responsibilities
Own all revenue-generating opportunities for the Energetics business; end-to-end oversight of prospecting, marketing, negotiating, proposing, and closing of new client activities
Be a credible and trusted advisor speaking the language of federal program managers and contracting officers; navigate federal contracts in the $1M-$50M range; aim to source and secure at least $4M in new awards in the first year (goals set annually)
Own the reporting and presentation of all business development activities weekly to leadership and other stakeholders, including Salesforce updates; serve as a trusted advisor to the Executive team in developing and driving strategic initiatives forward
Establish and develop the pursuit planning process; collaborate cross-functionally to create differentiators, capture leads, and execute a winning strategy to secure key bids
Build and leverage a network of relationships with program managers, contracting officers, teaming partners, and competitors; develop deep professional relationships across corporate, industry, government, municipal, and community contacts
Establish and grow partner relationships; develop teaming agreements, joint ventures, and partner strategies to win new business
Provide expert analysis and research related to clients, competitors, and future opportunities; monitor legislative and regulatory activities that could affect the need for services
Represent the firm at conferences, industry days, executive meetings, and federal forums
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; Graduate degree a plus
10+ years of progressive business development experience in the energy space, including 5+ years of technical fluency with government energy efficiency, decarbonization, or transportation/security programs
Federal capture management experience; skilled in capture planning, opportunity qualification, win strategies and teaming
Proven client engagement and consultative selling; ability to uncover client needs and position offerings non-transactionally
Affinity for technology and its application to maintain relevance; experience with pipeline tools (GovWin, Salesforce) and willingness to leverage AI tools
Entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in evolving processes and building business development systems
Grit, persistence, and resilience; ability to forecast plans and adapt to long federal sales cycles
Superior communication skills; ability to craft compelling narratives
Operational efficiency with strong organizational skills and time management; ability to manage a demanding travel schedule

$122,200.00 - $183,300.00
