Overview
Enterprise Architect role at Valley Health. The Enterprise Architect proactively guides VHS leaders (clinical and business) representing the features and functionality of technical and application solutions, and the delivery teams through transformation and optimization initiatives. Focus is on developing the business and IT strategy and the organization’s enterprise architecture to support targeted business outcomes, including growth, cost optimization, risk mitigation, and sustainability. Responsibilities
Facilitate alignment between business and IT, and across the democratized IT landscape. Engage business and IT stakeholders, building and maintaining relationships. Adapt to changing business and operating models. Analyze trends and disruptions and assess their impact on targeted business outcomes. Visualize future state and support long-term planning. Support various operating models (project-centric, product-centric). Communicate the value of enterprise architecture and its portfolio of services. Drive the evolution of the EA and lead Solutions Architects in support of clinical or business solutions and services within the Open Group Architecture Framework TOGAF. Coach and mentor solutions architects and stakeholders to instill architectural thinking during evaluation of solutions. Lead alignment across operational and IT domains to support business outcomes. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master’s degree in IT, Informatics, or related field preferred. Experience: 10+ years in the healthcare industry; 10+ years in strategic technology planning and execution; 15+ years in technology operations management. Certification & Licensure: TOGAF certification is required. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Experience and Skills
Proactive and holistic guidance for VHS leaders and product owners; ability to translate strategy into an implementation roadmap for the enterprise architecture; experience with TOGAF and clinical/business solutions; ability to manage governance and drive value within an enterprise operating model.
