Senior Full Stack Java Developer
Drive the future of defense innovation and lead secure full stack development on mission-critical systems for the Department of Defense.
Overview What You'll Do:
Architect, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade Java-based web applications with rich front-end interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Integrate classified DoD infrastructure and ensure secure system connectivity and data flow
Manage databases and backend logic to optimize performance, scalability, and cybersecurity compliance
Apply secure coding best practices and lead implementation of DoD cybersecurity standards
Lead testing efforts, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers on secure, efficient coding
Collaborate with cross-functional defense teams to translate mission requirements into software solutions
Document system design and development workflows for audit, traceability, and configuration management
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree + 12 years OR Masters degree + 10 years in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Senior-level full stack development experience, preferably in DoD or secure classified environments
Active Secret clearance preferred or ability to obtain
Technical leader, secure coding expert, agile team player, and passionate about developing software that protects national security
Core Skills Languages & Frameworks :
Java, JavaScript, HTML, CSS
DevOps & CI / CD Tools :
GitLab CI / CD, GitLab Runners, Nexus Repository, WebLogic deployment, Agile Scrum
Security & Compliance :
Fortify, SonarQube, secure coding practices, DoD cybersecurity standards
Containers & Orchestration :
Kubernetes (K8s), Helm, Helm Charts
Development Practices :
Full SDLC, Agile methodologies, technical documentation, static code analysis, secure web application development
Preferred Qualifications
Strong experience with Kubernetes orchestration and containerized deployment workflows
Deep proficiency with Helm and Helm Charts
Hands-on expertise in GitLab CI / CD pipelines and DevOps automation
Familiarity with Fortify and SonarQube for static code and security analysis
Proven track record of Java application deployments on WebLogic servers
Leadership in Agile / Scrum environments and mentoring software teams
