A-TEK is seeking a

Senior Application Developer . The IT Senior Developer designs and implements advanced software solutions to support the federal client’s mission. This position is critical in creating, testing, and maintaining innovative applications leveraging modern and emerging technologies. The Senior Application Developer will work with the project development team in close partnership with researchers, scientists, and administrative staff focused on safeguarding and improving the nation’s health. This position is based in Bethesda, MD. Key Responsibilities

Perform full software development lifecycle tasks. Develop cost-effective solutions using complex coding. Produce technical specifications and program documentation. Lead development of applications involving GenAI, AI, and NLP. Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in complex programming and systems development. Minimum 2 years of experience developing and implementing GenAI, AI, NLP, and LLM technologies. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Advanced proficiency in full-stack development technologies (e.g., React, Node.js, Python, Java). Hands-on experience with modern DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes. Experience deploying applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in application development for federal health IT programs, such as NIH, FDA, HHS, or VA. Professional certification in secure coding practices (e.g., CSSLP, CEH).
