The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a skilled Delivery Consultant to join our team at AWS. In this role, you will work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. You will lead customer-focused project teams as a technical leader and perform hands-on development of Data & Analytics solutions with exceptional quality. You will architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions, gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, propose migration strategies to AWS, and guide the implementation while optimizing performance and managing risks throughout the project lifecycle. Our team provides guidance through enterprise cloud adoption offerings and focuses on helping customers realize their desired business outcomes when using the AWS Cloud. Responsibilities
Leading project teams, designing and implementing end-to-end, large-scale, complex, scalable, and secure Data Analytics AWS solutions tailored to customer needs Providing technical guidance and troubleshooting support throughout project delivery Collaborating with stakeholders to gather requirements and propose effective Data & Analytics migration and modernization strategies Acting as a trusted advisor on industry trends and emerging technologies, ensuring governance and compliance while aligning data solutions with business strategies Sharing knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts Basic Qualifications
5+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience 8+ years of experience leading technical teams with hands-on data or software engineering, and strong understanding of distributed data processing 8+ years of experience designing and building scalable data solutions, including ETL/ELT pipelines, data quality, and monitoring 5+ years of experience and proficiency in SQL, Python, and at least one additional programming language (e.g., Java, Scala) Preferred Qualifications
AWS experience with proficiency in a broad range of services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation) AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python) Knowledge of security and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences and the ability to lead technical teams in customer projects Experience with distributed frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Presto, Flink) and data governance/protection mechanisms; understanding of JVM or similar runtimes Experience building applications using Generative AI tools and technologies (LLMs, vector stores, LangChain, prompt engineering) About The Team
