Lead Mechanical Engineer

to join the Unconventional Resources Maintain Potential Projects Department (URMPPD). The URMPPD is responsible for the tie-in of more than 500 gas wells over the next two years across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, with significant focus in the Jafurah area. The primary role is to oversee the tie-in of gas well projects and related facilities, including pipelines, trunk lines, flowlines (metallic and non-metallic), remote headers, overhead transmission lines, and water disposal wells, ensuring safety, high quality, and optimized cost and schedule to maintain sustained gas production from Unconventional Resources (UR). Key Responsibilities Facilitate the execution of UR Maintain Potential Facilities from scope review to commissioning and post-completion analysis. Coordinate review of scope content from Technical and Financial documents. Coordinate preparation of estimates for Gas Well Tie-Ins and related facilities and ensure accuracy. Guide the overall planning process and construction effort; monitor expenditures and control cost and schedule for assigned UR Facilities. Coordinate material procurement for long-lead and Aramco-supplied materials. Review significant aspects of UR Facilities under construction, including site visits. Ensure proper job records are maintained and facilitate post-project analysis. Coordinate preparation of required construction contracts and technical information for award. Review bids for compliance with company policies, procedures, and scope. Ensure construction meets Saudi Aramco standards and specifications. Provide construction supervision to ensure safety and quality standards. Approve contract payments and variations in line with authority. Monitor and control a system to ensure timely project start-up and spare parts requirements. Maintain project records including drawings, specifications, logs, correspondence, and close-out reports. Educational and experience requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

and typically

9+ years

of related experience in design engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning of engineered projects within the gas and/or oil industry. Engineering license is preferred. Thorough knowledge of engineering practices, economic principles, calculation methods, design details, and US/Aramco codes, standards, and specifications. Familiarity with EPC systems and Primavera, among others.
